Aren't these ads amazing?

...we think so, and we believe you will too.

Hello Ad Space!

Another Monday, more ads, and we are back!

There’s a lot of exciting news with the new agreement between UMG and Meta, so we are PUMPED to get into Q4.

(see that at the end of this episode)

Now, let’s get into some ads!

Abbott Lyon

Let’s start this week with this ad from Abbott Lyon.

This ad stands out because it’s so visually captivating.

And although you might not associate summer and good weather with September onwards, we thought this ad deserved a mention either way.

If you're a jewelry brand looking to position yourself as more high-end, consider sending your products to a UGC creator based in a warm climate near a beach.

Jewelry shots at the beach most often evoke a sense of luxury and exclusivity.

- Ad Space

What I love about this ad is the variety of shots used, which keeps the viewer engaged.

We see classic POV shots, try-on clips, and beautiful scenes near the water.

The shots are visually appealing but still feel authentic—they are realistic for a normal person to create.

Always ask yourself, “How can I make my visuals as captivating as possible while keeping them genuine?”

SKIMS

Now to one of Ad Spaces’ favorite formats…

The mashup.

Starting with “Definitely not your average t-shirt” is a solid choice.

Let's be honest, at first glance, the tee looks pretty basic, so this becomes a great way of shattering our beliefs right off the bat.

I’ll leave you to watch this ad from SKIMS yourself because honestly, it’s amazing.

Instead, I’ll leave you with a tip that took us dozens of ad creative trials to figure out.

Storytime…

When we first started creating testimonials mashups for clients, the biggest mistake we made was overthinking the features. We’d plan too much…

"Okay, the first creator talks about this feature, then the next creator mentions that feature, and so on."

We were too focused on covering all the features in one video instead of using more emotional sentences.

A simple sentence like “I love this shirt so much” can be 10x more powerful than “This shirt has X, Y, Z feature.”

When a statement comes from the heart, and you can feel the creator's authenticity, that's when you make a great ad.

Snap Supplements

Most brands fail with their Top-of-Funnel ads.

And we get asked this all the time:

“How do you make Top-of-Funnel ads?”

What better way to explain than with an example…

This ad is from Snap Supplements, selling their supplements on TikTok Shop.

Here’s what they did right:

  • Started with a question-based hook: “Did you know?”

  • Leveraged authority with a Nobel Prize mention

  • Explained the benefits of Nitric Oxide

  • Connected it back to their supplement

All in a short, native-feeling video.

This is how you win at Top-of-Funnel.

Borrow authority or association. Build trust. Make it native.

Great job, Snap Supplements!

Takeaways from this week’s episode:

  • By sending products to UGC creators near a beach, you can capture authentic shots in luxurious settings that evoke a sense of exclusivity.

  • Try using emotional, genuine statements like “I love this shirt so much” instead of generic mentions of features. Authenticity is more compelling and leads to better ads.

  • A great way of making Top-of-Funnel ads work is to start with a question-based hook, borrow authority, build trust, and keep it native. Snap Supplements nailed this with a short, engaging video on TikTok.

That’s it! 👋

We hope you enjoyed this week’s episode. The Ad Space team is working hard to curate the best ads and deliver them to your inbox every Monday.

We also have some exciting news to share about the new agreement between Meta and Universal Music Group.

To sum it up, will allow you to use even more previously copyrighted music in your ads.

If you run Meta ads, you know how HUGE this will be!

I’ll be posting an in-depth breakdown of it on LinkedIn this week, so keep an eye out for that.

That’s all for now. See you next Monday!

To your success 🥂
