🤓 Best Ads This Week
Reading time: 2 min 31 sec

Today is Monday, and you know what that means….
It's UGC time. Let’s go!

Ad Space
Before we dig in, we wanted to announce the launch of our ad creative community.
Here, you can network with other founders doing 7+ figures and access our free static ad templates, calculators, and resources that we will be adding over time.

Nutrisense
Jumping straight into it…
What I like about this ad is the level of curiosity it evokes in us.
Unlike most ads, this one starts in medias res (in the middle of things).
The features and benefits are listed before the product is even introduced.
This approach can be very powerful, especially if the features and benefits appeal to a large portion of the audience.
In this way, they capture a lot of attention right from the start.
Showing a product in the first 1-3 seconds can trigger people's sales guards.
However, because the product is introduced later, we become more invested and are more likely to watch the entire ad.
This strategy is somewhat domain-specific, but if you are in the health space, I recommend this way of structuring your ad.

Boody
This creative format is the one which I find the most native, so to speak.
More than watching an ad, it feels like you are watching a YouTube video on fashion tips.
We have started to make a lot of these videos with our clients, and they often end up performing really well.
These kinds of videos feel more like you want to help people and less about convincing someone to buy.
What often happens is that brands try to force sales in their marketing rather than channeling belief and desire for a product.
This video gives off a much more natural vibe and thus just works better.

Dose
We have an odd one here…
The ad here uses a great format, but the execution is sub-par.
I wanted to include it to share with you an important lesson…
Podcast ads are awesome because they essentially centers themselves around a format where people already consume content.
Instead of trying to create a new format or place for consuming content, they simply channel where people already go.
Another way of explaining this is with the catching butterflies analogy.
In this dilemma you have two options…
You can either:
Make a big net and CATCH butterflies
Build a beautiful garden that ATTRACTS butterflies
The questions becomes catch or attract?
The choice should be obvious: Attract.
A good frame of mind is: “What are my customers already willingly consuming, and how can I model my content around that?”
