Hello Ad Space,
If you read last week’s newsletter, you’ve probably noticed us talking about avoiding specific formats like traditional UGC.
Well… in this newsletter, we wanted to do the opposite and show you what we and the market are doing right now.
Enjoy!

ALT. Fragrances
Here is a format we’ve seen working well for a long time…
The Skit.
In this format, one or multiple creators roleplay certain characters and make an ad while doing so.
We make a few of these for our clients at Organic Rocket, and let me tell you… they are SUPER fun to make.
When it comes to skits, there is no barrier to creativity.
Here are a few other reasons why they are so great:
They are - often - funny.
There is more effort put into them, which makes people question if it’s really an ad.
They are often a bit corny or childish, making them a bit nerve-racking to watch.
It is hard to predict which scenes come next (which can lead to increased video retention).
Creators can lean into their strengths as creators.
When you make skits, you have to work with creators who are good at making their own style of content, or else it will be boring.
There are tons of ways to do skits. We recommend using AI to give you ideas to spark your creativity.
But ultimately, you need to find the sweet intersection between those ideas, the creator, and the current trends which fluctuate in the market.

Kizik
This UGC ad is very simple which is what we want in 2024.
“Less is more”, is often the case.
For this ad, the length of it is only around 15 seconds, yet we still see multiple people using the shoes.
Furthermore, we can immediately tell what it’s for, and what problems it solves.
We are not saying you shouldn’t include speak in any of your ads. Believe me… you should!
But sometimes you don’t need all of that to explain a simple value proposition.
Sometimes, finding people with a problem, and giving them a solution to that, will be enough.

My Pretty Strap
Do you want to know the easiest way to sell something to others?
Give them an offer so good they can’t refuse.
In this ad, they are running a buy one, get one free promotion.
And even though it feels a little scripted, it works.
Elaborating on the ad creative, they use the hook “Did you know this about the Apple Watch?”
Their ideal audience already owns an Apple Watch, so we do not need a slow build-up about how this girl recently bought this watch in the store, etc.
(By the way… that’s why knowing the level of awareness your audience is in is super important.)
We are thrown straight into the ad and see her customizing it with her hands in front of the camera and then showing it to us.
We also wanted to point out the native TikTok fonts that are being used to highlight certain words.
It looks very clean and similar to something you would see in your feed.
I mean, what else can we say?
A great offer, a fast ad, simple, and easy to understand.

Takeaways from this week’s episode:
Using skits can be a fun and new way to market your products. It catches the audience off-guard, especially when made by good creators.
If you have a bunch of people with a problem, and you have a solution to that problem, just put that in front of them.
If you can hit the sweet intersection of having a great offer while making your ads seem native and realistic, you are in a really good spot.
That’s it! 👋
That’s all for this week.
We hope you enjoyed the three ads. We’ll be back next Monday with some more ads.
Until then, keep making ads and keep trying out new stuff.
To your success 🥂
